NPCI launches UPI AutoPay feature for recurring payments

The NPCI launched the functionality of UPI AutoPay for recurring payments. It said users can now enable recurring e-mandate using any UPI application for recurring payments such as mobile bills, electricity bills, OTT subscriptions and insurance, among other things. However, the functionality will be limited for payments up to ₹2,000 beyond which users will have to enter the UPI pin.
