NPCI weighs changes to collect and autopay features on UPI: Report

NPCI is considering changes to the "collect and autopay" features on UPI over concerns about fraudulent transactions, NDTV Profit reported. It told payment aggregators to prepare for a selective phase-out of the collect feature for the "person-to-person merchant" category. NPCI also plans to strengthen display rules for autopay for customers to clearly see and approve subscription-based payments.
