NPPA fixes prices for 3,845 new medicines across India

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed retail prices for 3,845 new medicines and ceiling prices for 935 scheduled drug formulations to keep essential medicines affordable. The government said NPPA also monitors drug prices, prevents overcharging under DPCO 2013, and supports affordable healthcare through Jan Aushadhi and Ayushman Bharat schemes.
