Manak village of Phagwara sub-division has emerged as a model of progress, cleanliness and community service. Once an ordinary village, Manak is now widely referred to as a "Mini Chandigarh," reflecting its modern infrastructure and high standard of living, thanks largely to the dedicated efforts of two non-resident Indian (NRI) brothers, Rajveer Manak and Surinder Manak.
