NSA invoked against Prayagraj violence accused Javed Mohammad

The district administration in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj has invoked the National Security Act (NSA) against Javed Mohammad, one of the main accused in the June 10 violence in the city. The violence broke out during protests over suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Javed, who is a businessman, is currently lodged at the Deoria district jail.
