NSE, BSE fine MTNL ₹13.4 lakh for non-compliance of SEBI norms

Stock exchanges NSE and BSE have imposed a total of ₹13.4 lakh fine on state telecom operator MTNL for not complying with SEBI norms. Both the exchanges imposed a fine of ₹6.73 lakh each on the company for failure to appoint a woman director. The penalty also extends to improper constitution of audit, nomination and remuneration, and risk management committees.
