NSO unveils MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT directly link to official govt statistics

The National Statistics Office (NSO) has unveiled a beta version of its MCP server for the eSankhyiki portal that aims to make official statistics more accessible to citizens, researchers, and businesses. This will allow AI tools and applications, like Claude and ChatGPT, to be directly linked to seven official government statistics- PLFS, CPI, ASI, IIP, NAS, WPI and Energy Statistics.
