NVIDIA licenses AI chip startup Groq's technology, hires its CEO

NVIDIA has signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Groq for the AI chip startup's inference technology. Under the agreement, Groq's Founder and CEO Jonathan Ross, President Sunny Madra and other team members will join NVIDIA. While the firms didn't disclose the deal value, a CNBC report said NVIDIA is buying Groq's assets for $20 billion in cash.
