NYC Mayor Mamdani copies Trump-Musk's now-dissolved DOGE and launches COGE

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is forming Commission on Government Efficiency (COGE), which is being called a copy of US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's now-dissolved DOGE. Like DOGE, COGE's work is expected to manage the city's funds, remove outdated bureaucratic barriers and modernise government to improve efficiency. Patrick Gaspard will lead the commission that will improve the NYC Charter.
