NYC mayor Mamdani pushes bill targeting Amazon's 3rd party delivery model

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has backed a bill targeting Amazon's subcontracted delivery model to strengthen worker protections. The proposed Delivery Protection Act would impose safety, training and licensing requirements on delivery operations while increasing companies' accountability. Mamdani said subcontracting allows businesses to distance themselves from responsibility for workers.
