NYC Mayor marks 200,000th pothole repaired in 2026

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani helped fill the city's 200,000th pothole of the year on Troutman Street, Bushwick, on September 17. NYC DOT crews repair ~3,000 potholes weekly and have paved 757 lane miles across five boroughs. Pothole repairs rose 27% to 229,000 in FY2026, per the Mayor's Management Report.
