NYSE and Nasdaq to operate normal hours on New Year’s Eve

US stock markets will be open on December 31, with the NYSE and Nasdaq operating on normal hours from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET. Although the date falls just before the New Year Day holiday, it is not a market holiday, giving investors one last chance to rebalance portfolios before 2026.
