NYT, Economist join 40 publishers against AI copyright violations

The New York Times, AFP and The Economist have joined over 40 publishers in a coalition seeking to stop AI firms from using their content without permission or profiting from it. Publishers are also pursuing legal action, with USA Today and several newspapers suing OpenAI this month over alleged copyright infringement.
