NZ Cricket confirms NZ20 franchise league as 'preferred option'

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has chosen NZ20 as their "preferred option" for the future of T20 format domestically in place of Super Smash. Although the decision isn't a final commitment, according to an NZC release, but the board has made an "in-principle" decision to support the new league. NZC also said it wants a greater focus on the women's game.
