NZ woman accused of faking illness by doctor dies of rare disorder
A New Zealand woman who was accused of faking her illness by a doctor has passed away from a rare genetic disorder, identified as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Stephanie Aston first experienced EDS symptoms in 2015 but was kept under psychiatric watch after her misdiagnosis. The disorder, which affects the body's connective tissues, causes symptoms, including migraines and joint dislocations.
