US president Barack Obama on Monday debuted on Twitter with a new handle @POTUS and tweeted, “Hello, Twitter! It’s Barack. Really! Six years in, they’re finally giving me my own account.” The President attracted 1,00,000 followers in just 24 minutes. Earlier, Obama used to sign tweets from the @WhiteHouse account and @BarackObama, an account run by Obama's former campaign team.
