Obama pardons Thanksgiving turkeys for the last time

United States President Barack Obama pardoned two turkeys in his last Thanksgiving pardon on Wednesday, as he cracked "dad jokes" alongside his young nephews. The tradition sees American presidents spare turkeys from being eaten on Thanksgiving. On the occasion, Obama said he wants "to recognise the brave turkeys... who met their fate with courage... and proved that they weren't chicken."
