OceanEyes: The app revolutionising underwater science

Scientists are turning to citizen science to map the Indian Ocean. The new OceanEyes app, developed by the scientists at CMLRE, allows anyone, from fishers to tourists, to record marine sightings and the sea floor. By formatting the data for the Ocean Biodiversity Information System, this project ensures that local observations contribute to documenting India's incredible marine biodiversity.
