OceanGate Co-founder plans to send 1,000 humans to floating colony on Venus by 2050

OceanGate Co-founder Guillermo Söhnlein is planning to send 1,000 humans to a floating colony on Venus by 2050. Speaking to Insider, he said, "It is less aspirational than putting a million people on Martian surface by 2050." If a space station is designed to withstand sulphuric acid in clouds, thousands of people could someday live in Venusian atmosphere, he added.
