ODI World Cup-winning England cricketer Liam Plunkett makes professional baseball debut

Ex-England fast bowler Liam Plunkett, who was part of England's ODI World Cup 2019-winning squad, made his professional baseball debut on Friday night. He played for Oakland Ballers, an independent US club, against the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds in the Pioneer Baseball League (PBL). "I think I'm the first English cricketer to ever play a professional game of baseball," he said.
