Odisha CM orders Crime Branch probe into textbook errors; seeks FIR

Odisha government has ordered a Crime Branch probe into the preparation and publication of newly introduced school textbooks after 1,678 errors were found. CM Mohan Charan Majhi directed State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) to file an FIR to determine criminal liability. The mistakes, found in 55 textbooks, had earlier led to the suspension of senior education officials.
