Odisha man attempts to attack magistrate inside courtroom, detained

A man was detained by Odisha Police on Monday for attempting to attack Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Pragyan Paramita Pratihari with a knife while court proceedings were ongoing. The accused was detained after he was overpowered by court staff and lawyers following his attack attempt. It is still unclear why the accused, who is a history-sheeter, attacked the magistrate.
