Odisha's forest dept spends ₹12 cr on 51 Thar cars, probe ordered

Odisha's forest department spent ₹12.39-crore on purchase and modification of 51 Mahindra Thar vehicles during the 2024-25 financial year. All vehicles were bought at a cost of ₹7.14 crore and an additional ₹5.25 crore was spent on their modifications. Odisha government has ordered a departmental probe, with the forest minister stating appropriate action would be taken if irregularities are found.
