Odisha university VC put under 'digital arrest', loses ₹14 lakh

Odisha's Behrampur University Vice Chancellor Geetanjali Dash was allegedly cheated of ₹14 lakh by cybercriminal who put her under "digital arrest". She got a call on February 12 from accused posing as an ED officer who digitally arrested her because crores were deposited to a bank account in her name. She sent ₹14 lakh to the caller for her release.
