Odisha's Naveen Patnaik becomes 2nd longest serving CM, holds post for over 23 years

Odisha's Naveen Patnaik has become the second-longest-serving CM in the country, holding the post for 23 years and 138 days since March 5, 2000. He replaced West Bengal ex-CM Jyoti Basu. Sikkim ex-CM Pawan Kumar Chamling remains the longest-serving CM as he served the state for over 24 years from December 12, 1994 to May 27, 2019.
