Offer letter shows ex-Chairman Deepak Parekh's first salary at HDFC

An offer letter dated July 19, 1978, from when Deepak Parekh was offered a job as the Deputy GM at Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC), has surfaced. It showed Parekh was offered a basic salary of ₹3,500 plus ₹500 as a fixed DA. Deepak Parekh retired as HDFC's Chairman on June 30 ahead of HDFC and HDFC Bank merger.
