Officials will be liable for accidents due to poor road works: NHAI

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has cautioned its officials and engineers that they will be held liable if a serious road accident occurs due to poor road engineering. The NHAI also noted that in some cases provisional completion certificates were issued for roads which did not have road markings or road signages among other safety requirements.
