Oil India finds natural gas in KG Basin shallow waters

Oil India Ltd discovered natural gas in the Matsyapuri formation in the Krishna-Godavari Basin off India's east coast. The Godavari-1 appraisal well recorded a peak flow of 200,000 SCMD, with condensate output of 170 barrels per day. Testing of the next higher zone is underway. The block was won in recent Discovered Small Field bid rounds.
