Oil prices rise above $100 per barrel for 1st time since July

Brent crude crossed $100 a barrel on Wednesday for the first time since July 24, touching $100.19 as Middle East tensions intensified. Iran-backed Houthis attacked Saudi energy facilities, while US forces struck Iranian oil tankers. Brent has risen about 25% since early last month. Notably, Brent had hit $126.41/barrel on April 30, its highest level since the US-Iran war began.
