Oil slumps as Trump calls off attack on Iran

Crude oil prices inched closer to $80/barrel after they slumped over 7% in a single day. Brent crude for October deliveries fell by 7.3% to $81.55/barrel after futures surged almost a quarter in July, their biggest monthly gain since March, while US WTI also hovered near $80. This comes after US President Donald Trump called off attacks on Iran.
