Ola Electric eyes $8-bn valuation in IPO

E-scooter maker Ola Electric filed for an IPO on Friday, December 22, saying that it planned to raise Rs 5,500 crore ($660 million) in primary capital. It is the first Indian EV startup to attempt a public listing. Existing shareholders, including founder Bhavish Aggarwal, will sell 95 million shares. The IPO size is pegged at Rs 1,750 crore ($210 million).
