Old painting found in woman's kitchen in France sells for ₹188 crore

An old Renaissance painting found in the kitchen of a French woman has been sold for 24 million euros (₹188 crore). Dominique Le Coent, who sold the painting by 13th-century Italian painter Cimabue to an anonymous buyer, said the sale represented a "world record for a pre-1500 work." An auctioneer spotted the painting in June while inspecting the woman's house.
