Olympic flag raised upside down in Paris Olympics opening ceremony blunder

The Olympic flag was flown upside down in a blunder by Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony organisers. Pictures of the Olympic flag showed that the five coloured rings of the emblem were in the wrong positions and had been hoisted incorrectly. The ceremony took place on River Seine on Friday evening.
