Om Birla elected Lok Sabha Speaker for 2nd straight time after rare election

Kota BJP MP Om Birla has become the Lok Sabha Speaker for second consecutive time after he won by voice vote against Congress MP K Suresh in the Lower House. The rare election for the post took place after Opposition refused to back down from its demand for Deputy Speaker post. PM Narendra Modi had moved the motion.
