OMCs losing ₹750 crore/day after oil price hike: Oil ministry
Oil marketing companies have been experiencing losses of ₹750 crore/day, down from ₹1,000 crore a day earlier, stated the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. This comes days after the government raised prices by ₹3/litre, while CNG prices were increased by ₹2/kg in Mumbai and Delhi. Joint secretary Sujata Sharma declined to comment on the possibility of another price hike.
