OMCs reject claims of high chloride in E20 petrol, say 'No evidence of alarm'
Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have rejected recent claims of high chloride levels and moisture contamination in E20 petrol. In a press release on Friday, they said extensive, scientifically designed tests found "no evidence of any alarm". More than 100 randomly collected petrol samples from various refineries showed chloride levels at or below 1 part per million, the OMCs added.
