Omicron variant found in 13 passengers arriving in Netherlands from South Africa

The Dutch authorities announced that 13 cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant have been found among passengers who arrived on two flights from South Africa in Amsterdam on Friday. As per the authorities, 61 passengers out of over 600 had tested positive for COVID-19. "This could possibly be the tip of the iceberg," said Health Minister Hugo de Jonge.
