On this day: 1st iPhone went on sale in 2007

Apple's first iPhone went on sale on June 29, 2007. The touchscreen phone was unveiled in January that year by the company's late Co-founder Steve Jobs who described it as a "magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone". Priced at $499 for 4GB model, the first iPhone came with iPod, camera and web-browsing capabilities.
