One of the world's rarest sea turtles found in Texas

A Kemp's ridley sea turtle, one of the world's rarest species, was found emerging from the water on a Texas beach covered in green algae. The turtle, covered with organisms and barnacles, was taken to the Houston Zoo for rescue and treatment. Notably, it suffered a sharp population decline during the 20th century and is listed as critically endangered.
