One private jet makes ₹7-8 crore a year: JR Airlines founder

JR Airlines founder Abhinav Tripathi broke down jet economics on the podcast. According to him, a jet costs around ₹22-25 crore annually to operate, including depreciation, fuel, pilots, maintenance and insurance. With fuel costing about ₹1 lakh an hour, a jet can generate around ₹36 crore in revenue, yielding his firm 25% profit, or ₹7-8 crore per aircraft, he said.
