ONGC discovers gas in deep waters of Mahanadi Basin; shares video

ONGC has struck natural gas in a deepwater well in the Mahanadi Basin, around 43 km off the Odisha coast. The discovery was made in the MDW-28 well, drilled to a depth of around 1,450 metres, where gas is currently flowing at encouraging rates. The discovery will boost India's domestic energy security and reduce reliance on costly foreign fuel imports.
