Online gaming firms relocating to avoid tax face risk: CBIC head

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Chairman Vivek Johri said it would be "risky" for online gaming firms to relocate overseas to avoid 28% GST. "It's...not legal to remit money [to a foreign country] in the name of online gaming, so they're going to use some other [way] and that will...expose them to legal action," Johri stated.
