Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules have come into force on May 1. The act addresses the rising harm of online money gaming and imposes a complete ban on all forms of online money games. Online Gaming Authority of India is constituted as a unified, digital-first regulator for the sector. It also introduces user safety features like age gating.
