Online platform gives 'discount' and sells ₹150 product for ₹184, fined ₹57,000

An online grocery platform was fined ₹57,000 for selling a product above its ₹150 MRP. The complainant claimed the platform listed the product for ₹214, then advertised a 'discounted' price of ₹184, which was still ₹34 above the product's actual MRP. A Telangana consumer commission said the platform's excuses were "lame" and that it was engaging in "unfair trade practice".
