Only 1 Hindu, 7 women candidates won in Bangladesh elections

Senior BNP leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy became the only Hindu candidate to be elected to the new Bangladesh Parliament. This comes amid a series of killings and violence against Hindu minorities over the past few months in Bangladesh. Out of the 85 women who contested the elections, only seven of them have been declared winners.
