Only 1 in 6 Indian IT pros have real AI skills: Report

A TeamLease Digital report analyzing 37,000 tech roles found only 300,000 of nearly 2 million upskilled Indian IT professionals have advanced AI skills. AI-Core roles in GCCs offer median entry pay of ₹13.2 lakh, growing 16-21% by FY28. Skill mix is now outweighing tenure in salary determination.
