Only 30% of high-risk pregnant women hospitalised early in MP
Of 6.2 lakh pregnant women registered in Madhya Pradesh, nearly two lakh are high-risk, but only 30% reach hospitals early. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla has called for timely check-ups, close monitoring and safer deliveries. Officials were also asked to boost rural care, telemedicine and services for newborns to help curb maternal and infant health risks.
