Only 4% of India's jobs at AI disruption risk: World Bank

Only slightly above 4% of jobs in India face AI disruption risk, compared to mid-teens in developed economies, said World Bank Group Executive Director Neelkanth Mishra at the India launch of World Development Report 2026. He noted AI can boost productivity rather than replace workers, and stressed the need for complementary skills, energy access, and balanced regulation.
