Only 7,000 humanoids sold in 2025 despite billions in investment

The International Federation of Robotics reported that around 7,000 humanoid robots were sold globally in 2025, mostly for AI data generation, despite billions in investment. This compares to 5,42,000 industrial robots installed in 2024. Despite low sales, Bank of America projects 90,000 humanoid shipments this year and 1.2 million by 2030.
