Only Parliament will decide: MEA as it junks reports of US role in FCRA Bill

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) rejected reports of any US role in the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) Amendment Bill, 2026, being sent to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC). "Legislative matters related to India are our own internal issue, on which only Parliament will decide...I would urge you to disregard misleading...reports," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.
